George Platt Lynes

Between the Kinsey Institute opening up more of their collection to digital sharing and the sale of some previously unknown works given to his friends, some "new" works by George Platt Lynes have come into my hands.  (Plus a few "old" one I didn't have.)  So today I'll share some with you.
We start with Bill Harris gazing upward into the light.

    1. An immensely talented man. I have actually added some of his photos of women to my collection. He was that good.

  2. You won't be surprised to hear that I was thrilled to see this series, Jerry. It's good to hear that the Kinsey Institute is opening up more of their collection for digital sharing. Hopefully more of Lynes' previously unpublished photos will be available.

I haven't come across this photo before. A beautiful image and a beautiful model. What a great start to this series

    1. No surprise at all, Peter. What did surprise me was learning that Lynes had apparently shared a very limited number of male nudes with some close and trusted friends. The conventional wisdom was that they were sometimes shown privately, but not sold or given as gifts. The big bonus is that the "new" ones don't seem to have been part of the Kinsey donation.
