Shadows, Part 2 - Academic Art


Part two of our shadows double feature consists of some mostly 19th C. academic art.
We start with this work by Louis Jamar where the shadow is bigger than the appendage.

  1. It is, but it's nice that the artist included the shadow. I can't help but wonder why the male organ is so small in comparison to the shadow, though.

    1. I've seen this in photographs before when the light is a certain way. My guess is that Jamar simply painted what he saw.
