Wendelin

1866 was the year Kanizier Wendelin made this drawing of a model
who I believe appears in several works in my academic art collection.

  1. I'm guessing the odd pose was used to emphasize some aspect of the muscles in his arm.

  2. I always pose one arm up one arm down.
Usually up arm is holding a towel over shoulder, or a Cowboy hat on head, while other arm hangs at side.
But, this is to show sterno-mastoid-bicep.
    (Chest-shoulder-arm transition.)
