A trainer is working on Joe Albanese in this photo by George Silk from the 50s.
He's not even trying to cover his cock, knowing LIFE MAGAZINE is pointing a camera at him. The innocent thought was "they can't show it in the mag, ...he's probably shooting waist up."
The players were told that their privates would be cropped out of any published photos, which was true. What they didn't tell them was that the uncropped (and unused) photos would go into an archive and eventually onto the internet.
