Guadalcanal
I had this in my collection for years, but it wasn't until Dee sent me his copy that I knew
it was made on Guadalcanal in 1943. I had always thought it was some European mill sluice.
Thanks again to Dee Exx for contributing today's photos!
It is always bittersweet seeing photos like these knowing where they were and what they were up against. And here they are getting on with it as one does. Respect for these guys now and always.
