Eliot Elisofon took this photo in 1943 at the Gafsa Roman Baths in Tunisia.
There are American, British and German newsreels on the internet, taken during WW2, that show their soldiers swimming at different ancient Greco-Roman baths in Tunisia, Libya and Egypt. :)
