Close quarters
Despite several Google Images searches, the only information I have on this
crowded locker room scene is that the team is the Purdue Boilermakers.
In high school and college, our locker rooms were nearly this crowded. And as much as I was a homosexual back then, I did NOT "check out" the other guys...except for the gym teacher, who had a magnificent uncircumcised penis. I was not circked, so I kinda "identified" with him.
I graduated from Purdue. I was never in the lockers rooms, but spent many hours in life drawing classes there. I have seen other photos from the series, but lost track of them.

ReplyDeleteIn junior high and even high school it was obvious that my classmates were checking out each other and the coaches. In college, not at all.
Deletebut how did you manage to see it?
DeletePerdue makes me of chicken. Ain't no chickens in that locker room. 😋
ReplyDeleteThis photo is in the LIFE photo archive, part of a set called "Purdue Football Game" taken by John Dominis in 1954.

DeleteMakes me think this may be the visitors locker room.
ReplyDeleteCould be. They seem to have chalkboard numbers to designate players' individual stalls.
