Cincinnati Reds
A helpful teammate is scrubbing the back of a fellow member of the 1938 Cincinnati Reds
in our final locker room picture. Showers can be the best part of a locker room, trust me.
Obviously from the LIFE Archive, but I don't know the photographer.
As long as we recognize that WE are sexualizing the whole locker room business, I'm okay with it. Yeah, I like looking at bare cocks and butts. But we must remember, it was NOT a sexual situation to those men of that era (mostly). I'm sure there were homosexuals, but they had to remain discreet.
Having spent a good chunk of my youth in locker rooms, I have to say that even as a nascent gay, I did NOT see it as a sexual thing at all. Having said that, I did look, but so did the straight guys, lol.
