African Americans
George Platt Lynes did not shy away from photographing African-American men or mixed race groups. This is a "new" find from a photo shoot of these three unnamed men.
I would possibly identify it as a photo of the principal male dancers from the ballet "Four Saints in Three Acts" 1934.
ReplyDeleteThat makes a lot of sense, Tom. Mr. Lynes was closely associated with the world of dance.
DeleteVery nice, I don't see any tattoos! Good-looking fellows.
ReplyDeleteThe dancers are Billie Smith, Floyd Miller and Maxwell Baird.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
