The second half of our sword themed double feature shows a variety of sculptures of men with swords. We'll start with Perseus Slaying Medusa by Benvenuto Cellini from 1545. This is rather different from the Canova version of Perseus most often seen and posted a while back here on the blog.
Superb, what a torso. I'm assuming the model for the body was an older hard working man with the head from Cellini's imagination.
