I've always wondered why some otherwise excellent photographers took shots (or cropped them) where the top of the model's head is cut off. While I find that mildly disconcerting, it doesn't keep me from enjoying and posting them, especially when they are a good as this one of Bill Griffin.

My uncle always had kind things to say about how the French people treated the American soldiers. In one town where they slowed the advance for supplies to catch up with the front, the portable showers had been delayed, so the local people provided hot baths to his entire company. They also gave them fresh food and cheese. He never forgot those things.
