Los Angeles

The Continental in New York wasn't the only bath house with entertainment, and this is supposed to be a review held in one of the LA establishments.  When I first saw it, I immediately thought of a Pat Rocco/SPREE project, and there's no reason it couldn't have been both.  There's even a theatrical poster in the left background the style of which matches some of Mr. Rocco's.

  1. Love the guy 5th from left with more bush than cloth.

    1. I mean, I'm Lakota, and the way we did it, if you showed any hair, either remove it or get a wider loincloth.

    2. Not that I really know, but somehow I doubt that this design would show up in a Native American culture anyway. Having said that, the thing about the hair is interesting to me. Thanks for posting.

    3. Fair, an inipi isn't exactly where the sex is happening. And gay culture at the time was extremely white. (The most segregated hours are noon on Sunday and 1 AM on Friday. LOL) Not so much anymore.

  2. I'm actually surprised the men wore loincloths at these places. It seems so pre-modern.

    1. Those cloths were probably some element of the scripted performance. Plus, they look like they were easily removed.
