Odd
For some reason I can't really explain, I find this photo to be odd somehow.
It is somewhat unusual, but I find it odd that he's sitting on some sort of velvet or satin bench, it's like the photographer was trying for a 19th century air and obviously missed the mark with the models squash blossom necklace (VERY 1970's)with other tangled jewelry. The unkempt models appearance is intentional, but the coloring is more than slightly off. I would venture to say the photographer was going for a sepia effect and got a jaundiced effect instead.
You may also be unconsciously noticing that the model's fingers are much longer in proportion to his palm than most people's, so his hands are very unusual. They look more like the hands of some other primates.
It looks like it might have been taken black & white, then colourised. The ose is stiff and sort of fake.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's the pose more than the color that seems odd, although the color does look possibly fake.
DeleteJerry, you know I love very hairy pubes. This photo is really superb !! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it!

ReplyDeleteJaundiced . . . now that's the word I was looking for, lol.
