Leonard
Kovert's cinematic background combined with a classical influence in this impressive photo of

These males were put into some strange poses! His armpits look shaved, and his bush looks trimmed. Would Kovert go in for that? He is built well and has nice low hangers.
It isn't clear that the cops who shot him even knew that he had posed nude. What is more likely is that he was a "known character" or an "undesirable" both of which included people who were gay or circulated among gays. I've never read that Leonard Chambers was a hustler, but more than a few of these models were.
Strange pose but an impressive photo of a great model. Kovert's photos - whether taken by him or not - really are something special. Such a sad and shocking story about Leonard Chambers.
Yes, Peter, sad and shocking by our current standards. I wouldn't be surprised if what happened to Leonard Chambers was only the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

ReplyDeleteWell, Kovert was a drag performer much of his professional career, so manscaping might have been on his agenda. Or not. Hard to tell.
DeleteI just read about him. What an awful thing! Do you think they shot him because he posed naked? The story just sounds so bizarre and VERY sad.
