Nice details
The shadow of the small palm frond and the folds in the coverlet combine nicely with
the backdrop and vegetation to provide interesting details without being overly cluttered.
The palm frond was, of course, a repeated motif in Egyptian art, to be repeated in the French Empire style of Napoleon I and III.
ReplyDeleteGood point, Julian. The palm frond was used in ancient Egypt to symbolize long and/or eternal life.
