I've seen him elsewhere, I'm sure. He sure fits into today's theme rather nicely. All these men are good and hairy for sure. But they all seem to have another masculine attribute in common, too. Is that by chance, Jerry?
Bob Blount was in a lot of different male nude venues in the 70s, and any other similarities among today's models (other than Roy Blakey) are indeed by chance.
Bob was probably best known for his role in the classic porn film LA Tool & Die. In an interview I read back when that film was released (1979) we were told Bob died in a motorcycle accident on the set shortly after filming his scene. The person who was giving the interview -- I don't recall who, but I suspect it was the director Joe Gage -- said that Bob headed directly into a tree (or wall) and was killed instantly. Joe said he was convinced it was intentional and not an accident.
Wow. What a sad and amazing story. Certainly not the only porn star to die from a motorcycle wreck, but the only one I've heard of who did it intentionally.
If you can recall, that time period was notorious for the use of weed, hash,PCP,cocaine, NOX,and all kinds of amphetamines. This was before Viagra and I met guys stoned on all kinds of stuff on set to get it up to make these films. This was the time when the porn models (they weren't referred to as actors or stars) started to die of various causes. Overdoses and suicide were the usual causes.
