Joe Tiffenbach used his GI Bill benefits to attend the University of Southern California in Los Angeles from 1946 to 1950.  USC was a prestigious institution even in those days, so it was quite an accomplishment to graduate from there.  These two yearbook photos show Joe in his class photo at left and with his Chi Phi fraternity brothers at right.  That's Joe second from left on the sofa.

  1. I realize that Joe was an older student when he was at USC, but that photo makes him look like he's in his mid thirties instead of his twenties. Even though he had 5 years on most of those guys in the photo, he's still the best looking guy there.

    1. I agree, Greggy. My source for these pictures showed the entire yearbook, and I took the time to scroll through some of the parts that did not include Joe T. It was not too hard to pick out the GIs on the "mugshot" pages, and they were a large proportion of the eye candy.
