Here we have a 19th C. artist's sexy, if somewhat fanciful, rendition of two Scottish warriors.
They ARE sexy! Very virile. But when you say "somewhat fanciful" what are you referring to? Are the swords and shields outdated for the 19th century? Or is it something about what they're actually wearing? I don't know much about the subject but I do find it, like so many people, very intriguing. A large part of that due to the fact that the men wear nothing underneath!

ReplyDeleteIt is indeed the swords and shields that seemed wrong for the time. I suppose they could have some ceremonial import, though.
