Bench Snooze
I don't know who took this interestingly posed photo of Mike Sill.
Beautifully posed in what could look and awkward position. Mike's diagonal body works well with that stone wall. An "arty" shot. Again showing just how much Mike liked doing this?
He clearly had a good eye. The placement of the feet, showing off his calf muscles. This tensing the thighs to clench that superb rear. Dropping his arms to display those magnificent shoulders. And at the same time totally relaxed. Either our unknown photographer was very good at directing, which, as I know is not easy, or Mike knew exactly what to do. A lovely image that nicely illustrates an era.
Mr. Sill was one of a group of great models and bodybuilders from Salt Lake City, home of the Mormons. There are some interesting stories to go with them.
Foto taken at Sill's house in Utah and featured in Bellas' The Male Figure mag along with a foto of Sill sculpting a small clay figure. Beautiful tan lines on Sill's honey buns, that sweet cottontail proves he did not sunbathe completely nude. What a great tab of Sill fotos......:)

Ah, tan lines! It is different to see his pale butt against the light background...
The tan lines show us he didn't run around nude all the time, plus they add interest to a nice posterior.

I'm glad you commented, David, because I picked up on the slight awkwardness, too. But like you say, Mike made it work.
