Although I haven't found a definitive answer, I think this is a photographic self portrait by
Jean Ferrero. (A Google Images search produced no real help.) I did manage to find a photo
of a much older Mr. Ferrero, and it did look like this guy 30 or 40 years on.
Besides Russ Warner, did any other photographer pose stripped and full frontal?
ReplyDeleteYes. Bob Mizer of AMG posed nude for Kovert of Hollywood around 1947 before he embarked on his photography career. I don't think he ever did after that, though. Also, Bob Delmonteque started as a model and ended up behind the camera much like Warner, but he is far better known for his modeling.

ReplyDeleteIn my collection, I have only a first name for this guy: Bernard. If you'd like, I can send you my 9 other photos of him. In two of them he's holding pretty sophisticated looking cameras.... PS I absolutely concur with Albert - he's my kind of man too.
