All I know about this fellow is that he was from East Kent.

  2. I have read many times the words “cork vest” in British stories, and I knew that the term referred to a life preserver, but these pictures are the first time I’ve actually seen what they looked like. Thanks for teaching me something new!

    Hard to belie what with their weight, they helped you fliat.
