Worthing Crew and Coxswain Charlie Lee

This undated photo shows the Worthing Lifeboat crew.  The painting below was donated to a museum by the family of the subject, Charles Lee.  Mr. Lee was the coxswain who led the Worthing crew in a daring rescue in 1891.  By the time the portrait was donated, no one knew the artist's name.

    1. It was the beard(s) that caught my attention and led me to research the RNLI. We have similar tastes. Like you didn't already know that, lol.

  3. Your little diversions are fun and entertaining. Don't hesitate. This guy's beard seems an approximation of testicles, no?
