I have several pics of this guy. He is the author of "Physical Idealism and The Art of Posing." I have a date of 1938, but that could be the publication date of the book, not the photo. The above photo is a postcard, and is used in that book. (I'd love get my hands on that book!) I am guessing he was a part of the Physical Culture movement. It seems there are photos of Woodford all thru the 1920s and 1930s.

ReplyDeleteI have about half a dozen photos. In some, he is nude, but he is posed "discreetly" -- no genitalia.
