Jim Nelsen Day . . . Inspired by James

If you think you've seen this one before, you have.  James over at Men From Back Then posted this Pat Milo photo of Jim Nelsen about 10 days ago, and I had some back and forth sorting out the spelling of the name which I had seen as Nelson, Neilson, Nielson, and Nelsen.  I'm going with the last version after seeing it that way on a well curated website.  Whatever the spelling, this guy looks great!  I've only managed to locate about eight or nine pictures of him, and that's not enough.

  2. It took me quite a while to realize that hair length for men in America was not as uniformly long as it was in Britain. But this is drastically short for circa 1970 that it smacks of military and even then, it is shorter than most servicemen this side of the pond and America had pro rata many more men under arms at the time. Let us hope he made it back in one piece from the dreadful war.

    1. The paratrooper tattoo is a strong indication that your military surmise is correct. Tragic as that war was, a lot of US servicemen of that era did not go to Vietnam, and the great majority of those who did survived.

    2. No problem. I've been called far, far worse things. I'm actually flattered.

  4. To be a paratrooper and pose nude for Milo was pretty brave of Nelsen, considering the consequences of the time. As you say Nelsen looks great!..:)
