Sailor Day, Part 1 - Models, probably

Today I'm doing a sailor double feature.  Part one are men whom I think are likely models.  Having said that, nearly all the LA physique photographers had the stray real Navy man pass through their studios.  So who knows?  This attractive guy or any of the others may have been the real deal.
Oh, and all of them are half in (or more likely half out) of their uniforms.

  1. Real sailors or not I'm sure that this will be a popular series. It certainly will be for me. This guy is very attractive and is a great way to start the series.

  2. I just get a "studio model" feeling here. But that isn't a bad thing. He's good-looking and nicely hung. And his face does not show negative emotions.

    1. His expression is something like, "Well, here I am."

  3. This chap is one of the hardy perennials of nearly all vintage physique websites - and I understand exactly why. No one has seemingly been able to furnish any details about him or the studio and I have never seen him in other poses. Methinks, therefore, that he just might possibly have been one of those servicemen from one of the California naval bases who earned himself a good fee on a Saturday afternoon's furlough before a night out on the town. Ships that pass in the night...

    1. Like you, I've never seen any actual information about the model or studio, so your supposition makes sense.

  4. Used to go to Long Beach back in the day, met up with a few sailors after they had been on long tours of duty at sea. Their loneliness was palpable, living a secret life because of military decorum and regulations. Some were confused about their sexuality, a lot of quiet time and conversation with them. Some were quite assured of IT! Boisterous, wild and more than conversation. After Vietnam, the military wasn't too highly thought of and the guys in the Navy I met just wanted to serve, get out ASAP and back to being civilians.... :)

  5. I believe this is Duff Paxton - he did around a dozen films in the Joe Gage style starting around 1975 - I remember a photo shoot in "Action" magazine with Jack Wrangler likely from a film they were in together - google Duff Paxton and there is an imdb entry for him listing the films several of which seem to be currently available on dvd -

  6. I happened upon this series just today... This guy has been in a few favorite scenes, one I love is Kansas City Trucking Co. by Joe Gage. He and a companion were playing around in a convertible and stopped when they say a naked man in an old shack along the road... very hot scene takes place.
