I think these are pre revolution Russian soldiers outside a sauna or banya. The birch branches
are a clue, if that's what those are. And notice the different types of boots. I've read that there
was a shortage of boots in the Czarist army to the point that theft was rampant and troops
would never part with a good pair. Some things never change, do they? Slava Ukraina!
It never fails to amaze me that men of that era were so comfortable being naked in front of the camera.
