Poseidon and Amphitrite
This mosaic is from a Third Century Roman villa at Cirta, Algeria,
and it shows Poseidon (Neptune) and Amphitrite. There has been a
lot of speculation on Poseidon's blue hair color. I like it
and the fact that his package is almost normal size.
By all accounts, they had the typical range of European penis sizes, but the gods and heroes were supposed to be "above" the usual human standards. Small ones were considered classier and a sign of self control, among other things.
I wonder why they considered a big penis "declasse.". (For want of a better word.). Surely some of their males were well-endowed.
