Underwater Demolition Team
Before we had Navy Seals, there were Underwater Demolition Teams.
These hunky fellows from World War II comprised one.
Yes, and with relatively primitive - and very heavy - diving equipment, they were very brave men indeed.
ReplyDeleteYes they were indeed brave. Hollywood actor Aldo Ray served in one of these units in the Pacific in WWII.
DeleteI could see Aldo doing this, he certainly had the brawn for the job. Not to mention one of the most distinctive voices in films. Total package!
