John Matuszak began movie acting before he retired from football in 1982, first appearing in North Dallas Forty in 1979. Here he can be seen straddling a bench, partially obscured by another player.
No Matuszak here, but still a nic picture.
And finally, we get another look at John at left between a player and a guy with a briefcase.
I wonder what the collective noun for beefcake is. A "rodeo" of beefcake? A "ranch" of beefcake? A "rump" of beefcake? All I can say is that they were in the lap of luxury with that amount of space compared with the crummy changing rooms I had to put up with as a boy.
ReplyDeleteI've seen the term "gaggle" used, but I don't find it adequate. Our high school locker room was in the basement under the gym, and we called it either "The Dungeon" or "The Fungus Farm." It was dark, damp, dank, and dirty. Also, they used it to deliver "licks" with a paddle when we misbehaved. The janitor thought it was haunted and rarely went down there, so the coaches used punishment details of students to clean it every other month.
DeleteWell if you can have a lamentation of swans and an ostentation of peacocks, I nominate a jubilation of beef cake.
ReplyDeleteThat would work for a lot of guys.
