Today I'm posting my third series of work by Herbert Tobias, an influential German photographer who was one of the first German arts figures to die of AIDS in 1982. Always edgy, but sometimes tender at the same time, his work is special. We start with "Hermann" from 1958.
I love this third set, his work is absolutely extraordinary in every way.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it, Pat!
DeleteReally amazing photos, especially considering it’s from 1958. Looks like it could be from 20-30 years later. Timeless really.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Mapplethorpe.
DeleteOh yeah, really does.
