Although her painting work is generally eclipsed by that of her husband Jared French and
PaJaMa partner Paul Cadmus, Margaret Hoening French was a fairly accomplished artist.
This Fire Island inspired piece is called The Moon by Day, and it was done in 1938.

Mrs French is the kind of woman that I think highly of. To assist, and be a part of photographing and painting pictures of naked men is admirable!
