Ledermeister

Closing out the hairy behind set with a golden oldie repeat
post of Paul Gerrior, aka Ledermeister by Colt Studio.
He was a friendly, decent man and a great model/actor.  RIP

Ledermeister in Gallery 5 by Colt

It's been a disgracefully long time since I posted one of the full magazines so generously sent to me by Bill D.  This time it will be all Ledermeister in Gallery 5, a Colt publication from 1971.  Jim French describes Ledermeister, aka Paul Gerrior, as a sort of wild man who liked living rough in remote locations.  By other accounts, however, Mr. Gerrior was a civilized gentleman who was friendly, cultured, and a recognized actor in the Bay Area theater scene.

Pgs. 2-3

Ledermeister seems to be welcoming us into the magazine at left.

Pgs 4-5

Pgs. 6-7

In the Deep Woods II.

Pgs. 8-9

Cowboy I.

Pgs. 10-11

Cowboy II.

12-13

If you pay attention to such matters, you might have noticed that Jim French sometimes used the same chaps for his leather/biker photos and for his cowboy shots.  They are really two quite different types, but I'll give Mr. French a pass on authenticity because his images are so hot.

Pgs. 14-15

Motorcycle in the brush.

Centerfold Pgs. 18-19

This is the centerfold which was meant to be viewed vertically.
I love it when we get the staples on view.

Pgs. 20-21

Shower time II!

Pgs 30-31

My scanner didn't do the lighting justice on this one.

Pgs. 32-33

And we get the inevitable Colt promo piece near the back.
Note that Jim French was still using a New York City address in 1971.

Pgs. 34-35

I guess Ledermeister is waving bye-bye on the right,
as this is the last page before the back cover.

Back Cover

And bringing up the rear, we have a rear view of Ledermeister in leather chaps.
Derriere shots on the back cover were almost a convention in these publications.

Ledermeister, for Joseph

I had a delightful exchange of emails a few weeks ago with Joseph from France, and he expressed his admiration for Paul Gerrior, aka Ledermeister.  Joseph, this is for you, mon amis!
