Dave Martin Day

It's Dave Martin day, and we start with Gee Stuart.
Edited to add:  I just realized I did a full Dave Martin
set just 10 days ago, but he's really good, so . . .

Jim Hamilton

The natural setting is nice, but Jim Hamilton is nicer.

Norman Tousley

It has often been said that Norm Tousley never made a bad photo.
Team him up with Dave Martin, and we approach perfection.

Unknown

Dave Martin did a better job than most classic era physique photographers of recording his models names.  This one, however, seems to have baffled collectors.  Anyone know him?

Ralph Blumenthal

Dave Martin posed Ralph Blumenthal against a bamboo mat screen
that he used in a number of memorable photos.

Charlie Wall

Even partially draped in a fish net, Charlie Wall looks pretty good.

Don Detata

Although I don't have any notes on him to prove it,
Don Detata looks like a college football player.

Randy Saunders

Randy Saunders, his tan lines, and a sword appear here.

Bob Miller

It was 1953 when Bob Miller posed kneeling with a big smile.

Fred Jensen

This is Fred Jensen in a bayside location, and as was typical for him, he is smiling.

Don Barry

A sword wielding Don Barry is both more mature and hairier than the typical Dave Martin model.  Although I know that they aren't the main point of interest, check out those sideburns.

Dave Ellis?

A fairly reliable vintage print resale website has today's final image for sale at $300 as Dave Ellis.
I have another David Martin model by that name in my files who doesn't look like this at all.
Does anyone know if this is indeed Mr. Ellis?  Either way, he looks great.

Dave Martin Day

I try to get a Dave Martin series on at least quarterly, and I'm right on time for once.
We start with Gary Dexter in Mr. Martin's favorite bayside location.

Bob Miller

It was 1953 when Dave Martin took this photo of a broadly smiling Bob Miller.

Fred Jensen

Mr. Martin posed Fred Jensen quite effectively on a rock outcropping for this picture.

Norman Tousley

I like the way the bamboo screen splits the background
in this photo of the always pleasing Norman Tousley.

Don Robinson

We get a cheeky grin from Don Robinson in another iconic bayside location.

Jay Holt

Dave Martin didn't photograph that many men is the shower,
but when he did, he did it well as here with Jay Holt.

Wayne Stribling

Dave Martin got the shade and light just right for this shot of Wayne Stribling.

Pete Lee

I can only describe Pete Lee in this photo as a solid slab of muscle.
