I don't think there's another photo in my von Gloeden collection

anything like this man in a muscle shirt and nothing else.

 

Fever

This is a still promo shot from a porn movie called Fire Island Fever, or so my source says.  They even made commemorative t-shirts for the cast and crew that are now hot collectors' items.

 

Shucking the clothes

Although not the best photo, it's evident that the guys are shucking their clothes.

 

Mike West

Two things stand out about this Colt photo of Mike West,  First, there's his "chiseled" good looks.  Second, he's ripping his way out of his shirt, something Jim French had his models do on a number of occasions.  We might also add a certain shadow that Big Dude will no doubt notice.

 

1870

I've always wondered why they had this model from 1870 take off only 

his shoes and pants, but keep his socks, shirt and necktie on.  Very odd.

I wish someone would tell the story of this picture in the 

comments because, typically, I don't have a clue.

Sailor Day, Part 1 - Models, probably

Today I'm doing a sailor double feature.  Part one are men whom I think are likely models.  Having said that, nearly all the LA physique photographers had the stray real Navy man pass through their studios.  So who knows?  This attractive guy or any of the others may have been the real deal.

Oh, and all of them are half in (or more likely half out) of their uniforms.

young man who's dressed everywhere except where it matters most.

Jerry Sullivan picked an odd spot to get out of (or is it into?) his Levis.

Anything for art's sake, I suppose.

 

Talented amateur

Bob said that this shot was amateur, and I believe him.  All I can add is that 

both the photographer and the model were very talented for amateurs.
