Niels Henry Imbert

Niels Henry Imbert (1907-1993) was a Danish photographer whose male nude work has been

dated at around 1950.  (The models' hair styles seem to back that date up.)  I have not, however,

been able to find any more detailed biographical information.  Neither have I been able to find

much of his work, my entire collectio amounting to 12 images.  The magazine cover above

leads us to think his nude work was directed at the European naturist journal trade.

If anyone has more of his photos, please contact me.

Muscles

The musculature is nice in this one.

Geometry

I like the geometry in this pose.

First Find

This was the first Neils Henry Imbert photo I found,

and it led to the search for more.

Outdoors II

The second outdoor photo in today's set look woodsy.

Only derriere

This is the only derriere I could find by Niels Henry Imbert.

Outdoors III

This quizzical item leaves me wondering what the blond is going to do with that rock.

Hood ornament

Is it just me, or have I been posting a lot of hood ornament photos lately?

Oh well, maybe they just stick in my mind for some reason.

Outdoors IV

An older model in what appears to be moorland

appears in our fourth outdoor Imbert photo.

Shadows

At first glance, I thought this model was holding something,

but it was just the interplay of light and shadows.

Outdoors V

Our fifth outdoor shot show a man with a solitary tree and a wooden fence.

Classic

Closing out the Niels Henry Imbert set with a classic bodybuilder pose.
