All I have on this one is a name, James Simmons, and a year, 1946.

 

1940s

Bob referred to this as "a 1940s study of a tattooed man."

It does not look like the typical physique photography of the time.

I like his Boston Blackie 'stache more than the ink.

Boston Blackie Day, Part 2 - the Almost Nudes

We continue our day of men with pencil thin mustaches with some guys who are almost nude and one who might have been.  We start with Bob Delmonteque, photographer unknown.

Lon of New York took this photo of an affable looking Leroy Colbert.

This unknown model by an unknown photographer (at least unknown to me)

is probably my personal favorite of today's non-nudes.

OK, this one is a mystery on several levels.  First, I don't have a clue as to who the model or photographer are.  Next, what is going on in the crotch area?  It looks like it has either been retouched or he has a black sock over his privates.  Still, it's a nice picture.
