Vic Seipke

I have a believable Douglas of Detroit attribution for the upper photo

of Vic Seipke, but I don't know who took the lower one.

Spectrum took this color slide of Vic Seipke, and he looks like he's

amused by being about to pop out of that posing strap.

You might not recognize him, but this is Vic Seipke, and it's his day on the blog.

 

Color slide

This color slide by Spectrums shows Vic Seipke on a lake shore.

 

Posing Strap

Even in a posing strap, Mr. Seipke impresses.

 

Dramatic

I don't know what sort of drama is behind this pose,

but it works well enough to show of the muscles.

 

Two Versions

A slightly different crop of the same photo was used for the American 

and Japanese versions of Muscle Power magazine around 1956.

 

Bamboo?

I'm not sure, but that may be a rolled up bamboo mat behind Vic Seipke.

 

Young days

Vic looks younger in this unattributed photo.  The cropping of his arms

is unfortunate, but it is still an enjoyable picture.

 

Vim

This Vim cover is from 1955, and Vic Seipke had a full section of photos inside.

They were by Douglas of Detroit, and one is shown below.

 

Domestic scene

I'm not sure what that thing is that Vic Seipke is looking at on top 

of the chest of drawers, but he looks very good doing it.

 

Color

This looks like on of a series of color slides of Mr. Seipke done by Spectrum Studio.

I am not completely positive about that however.

 

Sword

I don't have a photographer attribution for this one,

but it looks like the work of Douglas of Detroit.

This Douglas of Detroit photo of Vic Seipke was from a memorable session using that textured background.  If you click on Mr. Seipke's label at right, you will see some of the others, one 

of which is an amazing combination of light, composition, and a very fine model.

I recall reading somewhere that Spectrum Studio took this color slide 

of Vic Seipke during a break in the Mr. Michigan competition.

Vic Seipke is one of my favorite models, and today I'm running a three part series on him.

We start with his nude photos, and this is a great example.

 

Is this him?

I'm not one hundred percent sure this is Vic Seipke, 

despite a reputable source.  What do you viewers think?
