These two are twins Jay and Jed Johnson. In 1968 they got on a train from California to Montreal, but were thrown off in Buffalo because the conductor thought they were draft dodgers fleeing to Canada. They went to New York instead where they became messengers for Western Union. Jed dropped off a telegram at Andy Warhol's studio, and was hired as a janitor on the spot. Before long, the two were part of Warhol's entourage, many of whom were photographed by Scavullo.

Andy Warhol Variety Day
Andy Warhol's male nude photos are quite varied, and today we'll look at just part of the range.
We start with an unknown model in a bathtub. Surprisingly few of Warhol's models are named, and Google Images was no help with this one and a couple of others in today's set.
1986
I find this 1986 Andy Warhol photo of an unnamed model to be quite good.
It is for sale, but the ad says "Inquire about Price."
1977
A while back I did a Warhol series featuring images which were each a set of four identical male nude photos. This looks like it was done at the same time, only with six instead of four.
Bodybuilder 1982
I found this labeled "Bodybuilder 1982," and I initially thought it might be one of Warhol's
better quality Polaroids. Turns out to be a gelatin silver print that sold for U$20,000.
Flag
I can't tell if that's an actual flag or a large beach towel that looks like one.
The model looks like Victor Hugo.
England 1986
The last photo in our Warhol series was taken in an English garden in 1986.
The model looks like he's thinking of jumping in the shallow pond.

Ten by Warhol
I finally got around to sorting out (and in some cases cleaning up) some hastily taken and finished contact sheets by Andy Warhol. The story goes that at least some of these were Polaroids of model tryouts, and that makes sense. I'm posting 10 different models, and if they look familiar, it might be because they were famous for fifteen minutes. We start with a somewhat indignant looking guy.
Smug
This smug looking fellow seems to say "I know what you want, and I"ve got it."
Big Dude will no doubt find the shadow enticing.
Can't decide
I can't decide if this guy is about to pounce, is cornered, or doing
some sort of sports exercise. On top of that, he looks familiar.
Had to pick one
Since the format of today's series allowed only one shot of each model, I had a hard time
picking one of this model who appears beefier and slightly older than the others.
You'll know what I mean when I get around to posting more of his images.
Expression
I hope Andy Warhol made further use of this model. Not only does he look great,
but he seems capable of some interesting facial expressions.
Hint
We get just the hint of a smile from this attractive young man.
Sometimes the simplest poses can be quite effective.
Flawed, but nice
For all its obvious technical flaws, I really like this photo of a man
pulling up his socks. Or is he pulling them off?
Disclosure: I used a brightening filter on the very dark original.
