This guy has a large automobile and a large bottle of Coke.

 

1942 Chevy

This gentleman is sitting on the bumper of his 1942 Chevy pickup.  But then it could have been a '46 because Chevrolet did not have time after World War II ended to design a new truck and retool their factories.  Nearly all 1946 models were warmed over '42s and sold like crazy anyway.

 

Chubby Day

Leroy D. will no doubt be happy to know that today is Chubby Day.

Men and their cars are the topic for the day, and we start with a nudist camper trying on a hat.

 

1940

The belted swim suit and the car's grille both say 1940.

 

Mystery car

All I know about this one is that the itty bitty European car looks quite dead.

Why is only one guy pushing?  Is that all it took?

 

'56 Ford

The car here is a '56 Ford Fairlane.  I know because it was the first brand new car my Dad bought

 that I remember.  The man is wearing a swim suit that was probably quite risque' for the time.

 

Distant Bug

Our lone color shot of the day features a distant view of a VW Bug.

Fortunately, the view of the man is much closer.

This guy is catching up by reading the Nudist News Views on the tail gate

 of his station wagon.  Looks like he brought along his camp stove and kettle.

 

This young man with a 1960 Chevrolet Biscayne 4-Door Sedan looks like a guy

 who modeled for Les Demi Dieux, but I don't think it's actually him.

This hitchhiker in argyle socks comes to us compliments of Kangaroo J. who also provided some helpful information on the car.  You can't tell here, but it was a '55 Kharmann Ghia coupe.  Some research leads me to think that the model is Vern Houston by Frank Borck of Can-Art, Toronto.

with both the oldest car and oldest man of the set.

 

'36 Plymouth

The car is a 1936 Plymouth Coupe Convertible with a rumble seat.

I don't know the year or model of the man, but I like him.
