These hefty skiers were left over from my last snow themed series.

Men in the Snow

Well, winter is almost over in the Northern Hemisphere, and I'm just now getting around
to my annual snow series.  We start with three men, one of whom seems to be
encouraging the others to get naked.  "C'mon guys, it's fun!"

Fun Group

Now this lot looks like a fun group!

Bubble

Here we have a bubble butt in the snow.

Cleaning

It's important to keep the gear clean.

Sauna

This looks like some Scandinavians enjoying a combination ski and sauna day.

Goggles

This solo skier is wearing snow goggles, socks, boots, and nothing else.

Unknown

Everywhere this photo appears, everyone wants to know the context,
but I haven't been able to find any information at all.

Rub

"You don't look cold enough, so let me rub some snow on you."

Polar Bear

I think this is one of those polar bear swim sites.

Snowman

Viewer Trevor sent me our closing photo which is from a series of a nudist
building a snowman.  The man is actually a bona fide nudist because
he appears in several magazine spreads in warmer weather.

Snow Day

You all have my permission to stay home from work
or school today, because it's a snow day.

Longjohn Soldiers

These soldiers went out in the snow in their longjohns and boots.

Remember, it's cold

"Of course it looks small.  It's freakin' cold out here."

Moon

This guy is mooning us and doing a mean downhill at the same time.

Moscow 1961

When I first saw this Moscow photo, I didn't quite believe the dating of 1961.
It is correct, however, and the photographer was LIFE's Carl Mydans.

Crystal Ridge

These men were on an outing to Crystal Ridge in 1930.
I posted a different photo from this trip back in December.

Near LA?

This one looks like an LA photographer took a model up to Big Bear.

German or Finnish?

My source thought these fellows were Germans, but they look like Finns to me.

1929

I have a date for this one, 1929, and it just might be FKK.
