Leap Year!

Yes, friends, it's another Leap Year, and today's set has guys in various sorts of jumps and leaps.  

We start with fellow who is all spread eagle in mid air.  I hope he didn't land on the rocks.

 

Jump for joy

Mr. Scumbeast called this one "Jump for Joy."

Help

This rugby player is getting a little help from his friends (yes, there are two if you look closely) jumping to block a kick.  Gotta love those ruggers . . . always ready to lose the clothes.

 

Old favorite

This is an old favorite by Earle Forbes that I had to trot out for today.

 

YMCA

My source says this was a mid-20th Century YMCA swinning class.

 

Still in contact

Although he's still in contact with those rocks,

this fellow looks ready to jump off.

 

High jump?

I think this guy is trying to do the high jump near a beach,

but the bar he's going over looks like a flimsy tree branch.

 

Atavistic German

This one shows what I think is a German nudist jumping into the air in one 

of those atavistic cave man re-enactments they seem to have been fond of.

 

Sky leap

The ground is nowhere in sight in this one.

 

Salute

 Our series ends with a repeat from last Leap Year of John Apache by AMG from 1974.

He seems to be giving us two kinds of salutes while leaping into the air.

I really like the color saturation and the linear elements here.

Oh, the leaping nudist is nice, too.

Today's set is all about jumping.  We start with three men headed for a beach.

 

Luc

This is Luc Lamy by Jean Ferrero, and I don't think I have anything else 

quite like it by Mr. Ferrero.  The stop action is great.  The framing, not so much.

 

Only two jumpers

Either two of these guys have already landed, one on his bum, 

or only two decided to actually jump.

 

Bush on Bush

In the first of two photos provided by Mr. Scumbeast, we have one he appropriately called

 "Bush on Bush."  We'll see the same background in a similar photo later in today's set, 

and I think I've seen this model before in Wyngate and Bevins' "nudist" magazine pictures.

 

Where's the ball?

The ball seems to be missing from this shot made on a wide beach.

 

Block that kick!

This guy looks like he's trying to block a kick in a football game.

Or, given that he's naked, it might be volleyball

 

Grimace

I think this jumper may have just realized that he's headed for a rough landing.

 

Fire jump . . . sort of

Here we have some fellows who are supposed to be jumping over a fire.

It looks more like a bed of hot coals to me, but perhaps the camera didn't catch the flames.
