Spring Break
This snapshot is supposed to be a college guy in Florida on Spring Break in the 70s.
Had relations who owned a motel in Daytona Beach. The college boys would get drunk and try and dive into the swimming pool of the motel. They would miss the pool and hit the concrete deck and suffer injuries. Then the parents would have the nerve to sue the owners, because their “children” weren’t being properly supervised. After several lawsuits, all of which were dismissed, my relations sold the motel after spending a small mint for legal counsel. And people wonder why once inexpensive motels are now expensive.
Such crazy behavior still goes on today, although the focus seems to have shifted to the Panhandle resorts. Panama City and Fort Walton Beach have insane levels of dangerous behavior.
There has been a notable crackdown in PC Beach in the past few years. Mainly due to the violent crimes committed by out-of-town drug dealers looking to make money off the breakers.-Dee Exx

DeleteThe college boys would try and jump into the pool from either the balcony or the roof of the motel.
