Ferrero
Jean Ferrero had Rick Wayne pose in a formal garden instead of his usual backdrop
of the Riviera countryside. I'm not complaining, mind you. It's still a great picture.
In part because of the Mediterranean, there is a very particular quality to the light on the Riviera and southern-most Midi and this is very much present in this photograph, despite it being monochrome. Look at the stark focus and definition of Mr Wayne's abs and the leaves behind him. One could almost be there.

ReplyDeleteIndeed, and thank you for pointing out that the light, which attracted so many painters, also worked well for photographers.
