Something different

 About tomorrow's series

I'm doing something different tomorrow, and I hope most of you will take the time to read the entire series.  Although there are a few locker room scenes, there is no nudity.  What will be there is the story of a man who was a champion athlete, but was most proud of changing and uplifting the lives of tens of thousands of others.  I had the immense great fortune to have had a couple of brushes with him and to have personally participated in a small way in his efforts.  So if all you care about is seeing naked men, you may want to move along and come back later.  If you want to learn something about character, hard work, caring, and overcoming adversity, read the story of Tommy Nobis, one of my personal heroes.

  1. I’m looking forward to the post. It’s funny because as a child and young adult, I would avert my eyes when seeing a nude male because of, well several factors. But a man in trunks or gym shorts allowed me to look closely and admire.

  3. I discovered him through you and learned about his good works. And he looks DY-NO-MITE in gym trunks. Besides, you have been killing it lately. I suspect your winning streak will continue for some time.

  8. I do not follow sports and so did not recognize Tommy Nobis' name. Thank you for assembling a warm and fitting tribute to a fine man and a life well lived. Bob
