Like a couple of New York baseball teams, Anthony Guyther of Vulcan moved to
California midway through his career. It's not always easy to know which photos were
done where. Further complicating matters, there are indications that he also worked in the
Washington metro area. In any case, this picture of Bob Bishop is definitely by Vulcan.
And this is not the Bob Bishop who did a film with Al Parker.
I was very excited when I saw the name Bob Bishop but as you say, this isn't the Bob who did the film with Al Parker and a couple of others for Falcon in the early '80s. You did post a photo of that Bob in August this year as part of the Roy Dean series and I was pleased to see that it drew a large number of positive comments. Yes, I'm a big fan of that Bob Bishop.
ReplyDeleteHaving said all that, I have to say that this Bob Bishop is extremely attractive and this is an excellent photo.
Peter
I like both Bob Bishops, too, and this one is a bit older than the usual Vulcan model, so that's a plus.
DeleteI only go to Vulcan when it's my Poon Farr-Dee Exx
