Niels Henry Imbert (1907-1993) was a Danish photographer whose male nude work has been
dated at around 1950. (The models' hair styles seem to back that date up.) I have not, however,
been able to find any more detailed biographical information. Neither have I been able to find
much of his work, my entire collectio amounting to 12 images. The magazine cover above
leads us to think his nude work was directed at the European naturist journal trade.
If anyone has more of his photos, please contact me.

Fantastic male. Wish this was a full frontal.

ReplyDeleteSad to say his photo work is rare even in Scandinavia.
His photos were published by several naturist magazines in Scandinavia and Europe.
Later in the 1960’s when Denmark legalized all pornography, photographers of artistic nudes like Imbert quit.
Same thing happened to an extent in the USA.
DeleteI've not heard of him, so it's always nice to view new photos!
ReplyDeleteAs it typical for me, I found him by accident while looking for something else.
