I wonder if the model for this 1910 Electogene Generator advert was a pupil of Professor Desbonnet? Hard to imagine beefcake advertising in 1910, then it was Paris after all.

ReplyDeleteIt's "electrogene" - you missed the r. It's short for "electricity generating" in French and means an electric or power generator.
