Outlier

I have no information on this photo, but I stongly suspect someone colorized it.
I can find no evidence of PaJaMa having used color film, but I could
be wrong.  I've been wrong lots of times.

  1. Colorized or not, I really like this.

  2. Someone was going for the highly saturated Kodachrome look, but a bit overdid it, still a nice image-Dee Exx

  3. That ass and those calves-looks suspiciously like Mr. Bolender again.

  4. "Provincetown, 1947. Photograph by Jared French" according to the book I have. And there are several color photos from 1946 and 1947. The image you have and the one reproduced in the book are equally saturated.

  5. My favourite today, the cobalt blue skies in contrast with the deeper blue waters is beautiful. The textures in this photo are amazing.

    1. I have to say I was pleased to learn that the luxe color was the original intent of the artists. They continue to surprise me after all this time.

  6. Wonder if they processed their own color photos or sent them to a trusted Kodak film lab.
    Great series.
Now we have individuals and pressure groups in the Trump regime wanting objects they deem “pornographic” to be removed from tax supported public museums :(
When it is they that should be removed from the government….:)

    1. As artists living in New York, they would have been able to access a color lab, one way or another.
