"OK, I'll do it, but don't show my face."

Today I'm featuring some faceless models, most of whom appear to have been photographed by amateurs.  This sleepy guy seems to be saying:

"Aw, geez!  I haven't even finished my coffee, and you want more nekkid pictures."

The underwear over the face could be to conceal the model's identity, or it could have been a device used by the photographer to appeal to fetishists.  So this might be professionally made.

At first I thought that was a beer can across this sailor's face, but on closer inspection, it might be a metal tumbler.  Either way, I'm pretty sure drinking had something to do with getting this made.

There was a type of Polaroid film in use for a decade or so that had those large white margins at the bottom, and this might be one.  Or it might have been photoshopped to look like one.

I would have used a larger version of this one, but the quality was so bad that I went with this.

I think it's pretty safe to consign this one to the "amateur" category.

Troy Saxon Day, Part 2 - Non-nudes

Those of you who like posing strap photos will probably enjoy part two of Troy Saxon day since four out of five images are of that type.  We start with Larry Oz in what looks like a promotional piece.

Donnie Kay's square shoulders are the most striking element of this Saxon photo.

This is Troy Saxon himself, and despite considerable research, I have not been able to 

identify a photographer.  I suppose it might be a self portrait, though.

Troy Saxon's work could be considered transitional since he began in the posing strap era of the 50's and carried on into the wide open late 60's.  This color photo is listed by several reputable collectors as a "possible Saxon," and it looks like Mike North to me, so that could be true.  The interesting historical bit here is the see-through posing strap, a device also used by Walt Kundzicz of Champion.

I couldn't help but notice the symbolism of those 

jutting tree branches in this Saxon photo of Mike North.

Troy Saxon Day, Part 1 - Studio Nudes

Troy Saxon, original name Stuart "Pinky" Rosenberg, was a Kansas City based photographer who got his start as a model on a spring break trip to the West Coast in the 50's.  He came into his own as a photographer in the great loosening up of the 60's, and I am featuring his R and G rated works today.  We start with one of his more artistically lighted photos of Rusty Steele.  

I don't know if that expression indicates boredom or condescension, but Wayne Burdick grabs our attention either way.  That name makes me wonder, too.

This is Gale David, aka John Bryan, in our Bum Brigade special offer from Saxon.

Troy Saxon took this photo of Reed Shaw in 1966, a time when distributing 

such images could still get you jail time in much of the USA.

Is that "staff" he's holding some sort of frou-frou curtain rod drafted for the occasion?

I featured a derriere shot of Frank Ball in my last Troy Saxon series, 

and this photo proves that he has another side worth a look.

More naked soldiers

I wonder why the one guy has shorts on?

When I posted this one on my old tumblr, I asked if anyone knew if the crocodile (or whatever it is) was fake or if the picture was photoshopped.  Nobody answered.  Anybody know.

And Albert, you should really like this one.

Miss Magnolia Thunderpussy called this one "Self-Conscious German Soldiers."

The guy second from right seems quite comfortable with the situation, however.

I was saving this for one of my "human pyramid" series, but you can't really see the pyramid, and I know they are soldiers, so here they are.

I'm guessing this is the First World War, but beyond that I don't have a clue.
