United Kingdom
I know they're fully clothed, but I like these ruggers. Two interesting things about this poster:
it was made for the tram company, and it's by a woman artist, Laura Knight.
Czechoslovakia
I know that nowadays it's "Czechia" or "Czech Republic," but when this poster was made, it was still Czechoslovakia. They apparently had a sports event to celebrate 20 years of independence, and I can't help but wonder if the object in his right hand is a grenade, perhaps an omen of coming war.

Amateur Day - Cars
Today's theme is men and their cars, all supposedly amateur shots.
We start with a chubby guy washing his car in a forest.

Maybe one of you car experts can tell us what sort of auto this is.
I know what sort the man is . . . handsome.
1950 Ford
I've used an open car door as a changing room on numerous occasions, but managed not
to get my picture taken doing so. The vehicle is a 1950 Ford, the first new car my Dad ever
bought. I came home from the maternity ward in it and remember riding in as a preschooler.
Riding a big one
A big fender, that is. I suppose I can be forgiven for making a phallic inference here.
Deux Chavaux
I'm pretty sure this is the French answer to the postwar VW Beetle, the Citroen Deux Chevaux.
That translates as "two horses," a reference to the power level.
Car wash
This handsome young dad is engaged in a typical 1950s suburban activity.
I have a color shot of him with his cute three year old son.
Classic
This is supposed to be the original, unrestored scan of this picture that has made the rounds a few times on the vintage nude blog circuit. Somehow, I haven't got around to posting it until now. I never get tired of looking at these two fellow who seem happy and comfortable being photographed nude.

This snapshot is part of a set of three made around a gravel parking lot in a wooded area. I believe the men in the photos were friends or associates of the gay Satyrs Motorcycle Club of Los Angeles because two of them appear to be in some photos of club outings. No bikes in these, though.
1960 Impala
I think that's a four-door Chevy Impala the young blonde is leaning against. This was presented as amateur, but the style reminds me of Danny Fitzgerald of Les Demi Dieux.

Allyn Cox Day, Part 1 - Drawings
Allyn Cox (1896-1982) was the son of Kenyon Cox. The elder Cox, while a more than competent American artist, became better known in later years as a teacher, critic, and writer. The younger became one of the most pre-eminent muralists of his (or any) generation, having placed important works in everything from post offices to university buildings to the U.S. Capitol where he was the resident muralist from 1952 to 1972. Allyn Cox had the habit of drawing the men in the studies for his murals and paintings in the nude, adding clothes to the finished product. Part one of our double feature shows some of those studies, while part two shows some finished nude works.
Grand Master
This 1957 drawing is a study for a mural Allyn Cox did for a Masonic temple. A Freemason himself, Cox did several works in Masonic settings. The man portrayed here was Grand Master Robert Williams of Massachusetts, and he seems to be holding a Mason's compass.
Michael
Not all of Allyn Cox's works were patriotic or historical.
This is a study called The Archangel Michael.
Marc Antony
Some of Allyn Cox's works were based on Classical Antiquity.
This is a study for "The Death of Marc Antony."
George Washington
Ever wondered what a young George Washington looked like naked?
Well, Allyn Cox thought he knew when he did this study for a mural.
